News from the Hotel Assn. on St. Thomas:
Please find below an update on the STT impact on the winter storm in
Southeast US for Delta Air Lines.
Cancelled flights:
DL926/11FEB14 STT-ATL
DL571/DL674 12FEB14 ATL-STT-ATL
DL925/926 12FEB14 ATL-STT-ATL
DL925/13FEB14 ATL-STT
Although 674/11FEB14 STT-ATL is currently set to operate today, depending on
weather development, this could change later on today. We will keep all
updated.
the JFK daily service is scheduled to operate normally throughout the
following days.

Please note that a (for South US) a major winter weather event is expected
to impact travel to, from and through Atlanta over the next several days.
Please encourage all travelers to check delta.com, the Delta app or other
similar methods on the status of their flight prior to heading for STT
airport for ATL bound flights.
At present time, DL926 STT-ATL 11FEB14 is canceled but we could see more
coming later on tonight or tomorrow.
ATT Tourism/Hotel Association: please advise your channels/member to be
aware of this, and actively share this with our customers. Rebooking to
other flights, bypassing Atlanta will be limited. booking change waivers are
published, so customers can make voluntary changes as needed.
When travel disruptions are a result of a weather event, Delta is not in a
position to cover hotel and other amenities, so the sooner customers check
their travel situation, the better the outcome for the customer.
If any questions from customers, please refer them to delta.com, Delta
reservations, their travel agent etc. Please don't encourage customers to go
to the airport in the event their flight(s) are cancelled, as our airport
resources are limited.

My flights in and out of ATL going home (not to STT) were both canceled on the 12th. Check your flights before leaving the house.

I was re-routed through MSP where I have a 4 hour layover. It looks like I'll have plenty of time for lunch.

We have friends trying to return tomorrow the 13th coming thru Atlanta from STT to MSP. Any idea if Delta gets them home or do they do as I suggested, get an extra night in STT rather than likely spend the night in ATL/ or at the airport due to the backlog?
