Sahara Dust

Post by Barb Y »

Hi! Does anyone know much about the Sahara dust that is hitting ST John these days? Is it something that is really bothersome and how long does something like this usually last? Sounds like the mosquitos might be calming down. I bet it was all the rum tainted blood from your DBFT trip. Thanks!

Pia said it could be clearing next week or so. She posted on another thread.

We experienced the Sahara dust last June on Gorda and STJ. At first we thought it was just really hazy out! :D
Then Monserrat errupted again  and it got even more hazy. I remember buying a copy of Tradewinds that week and there was a long article about the dust.
If you don't take risks, you'll have a wasted soul.
