There is yet another participant in the STJ Coral Bay marina arena -- and now there are Federal funds available. A $1.3M Boating Infrastructure Grant.

I look forward to reading that article later on. As a business owner (and as someone that worked with business owners in one way or other since college) I probably look at development from a different point of view.

Would a marina in Coral Bay be a good or bad thing for the community? I assume there would be some skilled labor needed to staff the place.

I assume the live-abroad people are discharging grey water into the bay. Will there be a pump out station and treatment facility?

One side of my family are sailors and I find that culture to be a pretty chill group. But they are also known for living cheaply. Maybe the charter folks spend more freely?

It will be a long time before anything comes of this. Permitting, Environmental Impact Studies, etc. etc. etc.
A marina has been proposed at this location since 2005.
