After many months of planning for my third trip, and the boyfriends second it's FINALLY here! We're doing things very different this year and I'm almost more nervous than I am excited. We are going down for a total of 10 days(rather than the normal 7), 2 of which will be spent on STT at Bluebeards. Then we will head over to our beloved rock to our villa in Coral Bay. We are staying at the Fair Winds Cottages, on previous trips we stayed in Cruz Bay at Grande Bay Resort. We always enjoyed how convenient it was to walk to town but felt that we weren't getting the true "STJ" experience.. Plus this view sold me...

After talking the man into this villa a few months ago I recently found myself wondering "what the heck did I just do?!" We are very social people and I just picked one of the most secluded villas on the island..lol.. But we will make the most of it, we are renting a Jeep so we will be mobile. I'm looking forward to trying new restaurants in Coral Bay & might actually hike this trip. We are really good at making it to the beach.. And kind of envy you snorklers and hikers, we are uhm.. How should I put this... Drinkers? : ) this year we are bound and determined to be more active rather than just sitting back and admiring the beauty. I'm SO excited to post our trip report.. We are headed to DTW right now leaving at 7am.. Stay tuned

I totally get your concern but I am sure it will be wonderful, just look at that view. We have been unable to get to STJ due to financial reasons and now elderly parent care. I already know our next trip will hopefully be 2 weeks, one at Grand Bay and one in a secluded villa on Coral Bay, for the same reasons you gave. You already did the Grand Bay, now embrace the view and seclusion of your villa! I look forward to your report.

Don't second guess yourself.... just make the best of your time on the island. Coral Bay is fun, too! Be safe driving to the villa... get the hang of it and you'll be fine!
