Re: Maho Bay campground teardown
I heard they still have a crew there (we talked to a guy who's brother was still there), and that they wanted the cottages intact. It sounds like they may do something similar to Maho.

Re: Maho Bay campground teardown
When I was at Maho Beach a week ago I spoke to a couple that said a German man had purchased the property and speculation was that he would be using the property as a family getaway. Everything was to be torn down except for the cottages that were installed on pilings (you see them above Maho). Everything is still very mysterious, though.
Trip #14 comes June 11, 2015!!

Today I ran across this blog which offers some pictures of the tents on the hillside that are visible from Maho Bay.

The tents are being taken down. I will take a picture before we leave and post. We noticed them being dismantled last week when we were at Maho. Little Maho was deserted. We snorkeled over from Francis.

Thank you for the pics of the cottages. It's still hard to accept that the campground is gone.
