Trip Report May 22-May 30 Part 2
We had dinner at Tamarind Inn-it was good. Oceanfront Bistro was great, as was Zozos.
Really a fun night was had by all at Across the Street on a very rainy night. The waitresses from Woody's created sailboats out of a to- go boxes and set them sailing down the street in the heavy rainwater running down the hill!
Met the "Ghost From Jost" at Woody's! Quite a character....snorkeling was not as good as it had been when we were on the island at the end of April!
Saw a baby black tip reef shark at Maho that actually swam around by son's beach chair in the water with him in it! Saw lots of barracuda! Great time was had by all!

Re: Trip Report May 22-May 30 Part 2
Nice report!!!
Is it me or has there been an increase in the number of shark sightings while snorkeling or hanging out on the shore? We will be on STJ in July and personally I'd love to see a shark, but I thought the chances were pretty low. From some of the recent reports it doesn't seem to be too far fetched.
By the way, while I'd like to see a reef or nurse shark, I'm not sure the 10 ft hammerhead spotted off Congo Cay is on my list of things to see up close!!

I agree it does seem as if there have been more shark sightings. I wonder if the lion fish are attracting them?
I didn't hear about the hammerhead....!

Check out Low Key Watersports Facebook page posting from May 29 regarding the 10ft hammerhead. Still waiting to see if someone took pictures.
