Secret harboour- BEWARE- never again for us
I will get more in to this later but this is especially for Mary Beth.
We booked SH in January and got the beachfront suite for 288 with tax. They billed each of us that amount for the room we had. 3 total, so almost 900$. We get there Saturday exhausted with confirmation numbers in hand. (I had also called and confirmed and they didnt tell me anything prior to Saturdays arrival) We walk up tp the counter and they tell us they are overbooked, dont have a room for us, arent giving us a refund and one room is there but the other 2 are at another hotel 15+ minutes away. We asked to speak to manager..They were all rude! WE all ended up at Wyndam Sugar whatever. It was nice and I am glad we got to stay there instead. The air in our room wasnt the best, but we made it. From talking to otheres staying there, the rooms were cheaper than the type of room I paid for at SH. The next morning , they tried to charge us again for the night at Wyndam. We got that straightend out after 20 minutes. The Wyndam people were very nice and I would stay there again. I am furious with the was SH handled this. They should have, at the very least, called me and let me know. THen, we could have made our own decisions about where we wanted to stay.
Let me know if you have any more questions. You hae been warned! The lady at SH said it is no big deal- this happens all the time. WHATEVER! It was very obvious that this happens all the time.

Hey Tam, sorry to hear about that and thanks for thinking of me. I guess I didn't get around to telling you that we already switched our plans from SH to Gallows for our November trip. Hopefully there won't be any problems there

Almost the same thing happened to us last November. They sent another couple to Sugar Bay, and we got a room up the hill, even tho' we had paid for beachfront. However, the next morning after talking to Ernest the manager, we were moved to a beachfront SUITE at a lower rate than we originally paid.
Their excuse was some remodeling, which they expected to have completed. I wonder now what's up? We were thinking about booking for a couple of days again next November, now you've got me rethinking.
