I bring a couple of prepared meals as well. Chicken parmesan travelled well, this last trip, burritos already prepared have done well, spanish rice, lasagne, etc. I make bigger batches of some meals for dinners, and freeze left-overs. I marinate some meats, then drain the marinade and freeze them. We never stay in a place that's fully air conditioned, so anything that can save me from heating up our accomodations is good. We eat lunch out each day, but most dinners at "home." Some people even bring frozen cookie doughs :D

I just packed my 12 can polar bear tonight and placed in the freezer. I managed to get 2 pounds bacon, 6 hamburg patties, 1 package hot dogs, homemade spaghetti sauce, turkey and roast beef deli meat, 1 pound american cheese, 2 blocks sharp cheese and 1 package pepperoni for snacks. Oh... and 2 pounds of butter wrapped in techni ice !

We have the Polar Bear backpack. Great for bringing the beer and lunch to the beach and hands free to carry chairs, bags, etc. I brought hamb patties, steaks, pork chops, hash browns for breakfast, sausage patties, bacon, lunch meat and cheese, shredded cheese, twice baked potatoes. Next time I am going to freeze milk, (we just need a little for our scrambled eggs), and whatever else I can think of to freeze. We took ours out at 9am on Sunday and left it in truck overnight and got to villa 5pm Monday. Everything was great!! Delta even let us check it for free on the way!! Its the only way to go!
