There is a big, BIG difference between these two properties. Think the Ritz vs. Holiday Inn. I have stayed at Idyllic and have toured Cocotier. Unless you have small children where you require a pool that is completely separated from the house, I strongly suggest Cocotier. Location, design and furnishings are at lead 20 years apart style wise.

We stayed at Cocotier about 6 years ago and loved it! Don't know anything about Idyllic. At Cocotier the bedrooms are all accessed from the outside, don't know the ages of your travelers. The main living area was comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed. The pool and hot tub served us all well. We used 2 jeeps while there and I would say the parking would be tight with more than that.
Let me know if you have any specific questions :)

Jan
Thanks for your offer to answer questions about Cocotier. When I toured it, I was not thinking in terms of a 2 yr. old and a 6 month old. Can you tell me if any of the bedrooms would be large enough to hold a pack and play and a portable crib? Also, are there any bedrooms close enough to the main living area so that when we put the children to bed we can still hear and look in on them? We have stayed in quite a few villas but most of them do not have A/C and we want to go in July. thanks.

I think it would be pretty tight, but it could be done. There are 2 buildings to Cocotier. The 2nd building consists of 2 queen size bedrooms, both entered to the left side of the main house and pool deck. The main building houses the living area, master bedroom and 1/2 bath on the first floor. Off of the pool deck are stairs leading to an identical MBR (right over top of the main level one) with a deck. The main level bedroom is right next door to the living room off the pool deck via sliding glass doors. That might work.
How many people are you thinking about?

The trip is not planned yet. Hoping to be there when some friends are there the 15th to the 22nd. But we might not fly in until the 18th and stay for a week.

We are going to be 4 adults, 1 toddler and one infant. This is why we need at least one large king BR immediately adjacent to the living area and then another king BR elsewhere. Looking for A/C, shade and easily accessible. Also looking at Peace and Plenty, Villa Rendevous, Ambiance and Dancing Dolphins. Feeling we would not need full A/C at Peace and Plenty.
