Well...Merry Christmas to us a few days early!
Unfortunately for our daughter, her dance trip to NYC in June was cancelled. The summer was pretty packed, but this means she could go to church camp with her brother and dang if the airfares haven't dropped to livable levels from Houston (at least they are the same or less than last year)! So we had no choice...book that thing! Me and my baby are off for a week in the sun and sand without the teenagers! It's even our anniversary that week. We'll be on island from 6/17 to 6/24.
We haven't booked accommodations yet. Suggestions? We have a couple of ideas, but thought about considering Grande Bay. We do prefer to have our own pool to cool/rinse off when coming back from the beach and privacy of a villa, but Grande Bay is so convenient since we spend most nights eating/drinking out in town.

When we go back as just a couple, we will look into a return stay at Estate Lindholm just up the hill from Mongoose for a non-villa option close to town with views and a pool.
Since it gets little mention here, check it out on tripadvisor and elsewhere and see if it would work for you.
