We're down the Jersey shore on weekends...There's always something to do. Took our New England family members to Cape May for a festival, visited wineries, shelled on the desolate beaches. This weekend seeing Frankie Valli at the Borgata in AC. :D

Today is a gorgeous day here in north Texas. Going to put the fall decorations out. Wish our spring and fall were a little longer..Seems we get a brief glimpse of gorgeous weather, then BAM...intolerable heat or cold... :? :D

A trip to the apple orchard and home to make chicken stew with dumplings, and homemade apple crisp. Light the apple scented candles and enjoy the beauty of the fall leaves out the window.

We've been doing a lot of riding this fall. (horseback) It's wonderfully warm enough without being hot, and the fall colors are beautiful. The horses are frisky, and the wind brisk. :)

Spent yesterday walking along the seashore looking for sea glass. The humidity is gone and now we have a few months of perfect weather. Yea!

I took these three weeks ago specifically for this thread and finally got around to uploading the pics.

We took a rare day off during the week (a Friday). Our son's school was closed for a couple of days and he went on a three day hiking trip with his grandparents to Ricketts Glenn State Park. We met up on their way home and headed to our cabin.

On the way we stopped at an insanely popular farmers market that has a ton of fall activities and things to buy -

Pumpkins and mums

We bought one of those big pumpkins. Holy f_cking cow, was that thing was hard to cut into! Note to self, don't let the 7yo pick out pumpkins. My husband stabbed himself and the end result was covered in blood.

Typical PA crafty bricka brack

Later in the day, we took a walk down our neighbor's driveway

It was a fun day. We rarely take a random day off so it was a real treat. It was a perfect fall day.

PA Girl... beautiful pictures! Autumn is a beautiful time of year. It has gotten much cooler here. There are leaves, leaves everywhere here. We just spent several hours picking them up. The good news is that most of them are down now. Sometimes we are still cleaning up leaves in between snowfall and rain.
