Weather Fcst and Other Stuff
My wife and I are coming to St John for the first time during the week of July 28 - Aug 4. I was wondering if there is a semi-reliable 10-14 day weather forecast service? I am getting a bit antsy over what weather.com and NOAA are saying about that week, and I'm hoping someone can put my concerns to rest with a "they don't know diddly..." comment!!
We are staying at Grande Bay (staff/owner have been very helpful thus far!) and any advice for first-timers is welcome!!! Dining - grocery shopping - bars - beaches. I've done my homework on most but nothing is more helpful than experience!
Thanks!

There is always a 30% chance of rain in forecast and a 50% chance they are right. Does that help?
The only time we get concerned is when they talk about a system setting up in the area and gereralized rainfall. There will always be afternoon showers of liquid sunshine in the region. It may rain on you at Salt Pond and not rain on you if you selected Maho instead. It could be pouring down in Cruz Bay and stars in the sky at coral bay.
Have a great trip.

I have gone to STJ several times for 2 weeks, and the entire forecast for the time we were going to be there showed "RAIN" for 10 days out of 14. I'm not talking "SHOWERS", I mean the forecast where it shows rain pouring down all day long.
On ALL those trips, we had only 1 or 2 days of rain.
Pia is right.
Not to worry.
