Airport Rentals

Post by BRY1105 »

What rentals are located at the airport & which do you recommend? We've rented from Budget before but I refuse to do so again. Amalie is frequently recommended on this forum but they aren't at the airport and I see that as slightly less convenient; is that the case?

Bry, Amalie will meet you at the airport with the car. You don't need to go anywhere. As we were pulling up to the curb to leave they met us, we gave them back the keys  , and we were on our way home. Such wonderful service, friendly people, new cars. I don't think you can go wrong!

Very friendly owners.
Incredible service! We walked out of the airport and our car was parked right in front. They handed us the keys and we were off! Returning was the same... they met us there, we drove up, handed them the keys and we were off! They make it as easy on you as possible. The car we rented was in good, clean condition and had no issues during the 10 days.
Convenience was a huge factor in why we choose them. They just make it so easy to rent a car.

Check their guidelines for spending the week on St. John. You may not feel comfortable with that... but if you are set on renting at the airport and not on St. John, Amalie can't be beat.

I have horror stories with them. Never again. (Didn't have enough vehicles while about 20 pissed off people, including myself, waited).

I ended up booking w/ Discount. They have good reviews, competitive rates & someone on STJ in case of car trouble. The typical "you're on your own" policy of most STT companies worries me a little.
