St. John in Fall

Post by BRY1105 »

Hello everyone. I'm looking for opinions & descriptions of island weather & snorkeling conditions in fall (Aug, Sept, Oct). I would normally not visit this time of year, but my wife & I have had an extremely stressful year and a vacation is of high priority right now.

We love, love , love St John in October!! We snorkel every day - usually twice for about 2 hours and the water temp is very warmer than the spring. We personally like that it is a little quieter and never had a problem with closed restaurants. If you have any specific questions, feel free to ask!! Sorry about your stress level- go to the island and breath some salt air!!! 8)

Sounds good to me! I love the off-season (we've been in July) because I don't want to battle other people on vacation. So how is the weather, including the chances of the H word?

It's still hurricane season - we have been lucky it always buy insurance. We have had great weather most of our October trips- never interfered with daily snorkels, but then again, we just look for a place where it looks a little better to jump right in !!
