Pics set to music??
I have finally figured out how to post pictures. Yeah! During the school year I was just too busy to have the time to figure it out. Anyway, I want to do a picture trip report . . . from last July/August with music for me, to share with friends, and to put on here. I started making a power point yesterday, but got to thinking that I may not be able to post that on here. Can I post a power point?? If so, how? And, if not, how can I put a slide show to music?? Help please! I am tecnologically impaired . . . even without rum!
As a teacher, you probably realize that everyone has something they are not as good at doing. I had a problem with this topic too. A diver I worked with at the time told me that I should be using Windows Movie Maker. It is probably on every Windows computer.
It is rather intuitive to use. I will remind you that with this program, like most programs, you should be saving frquesntly. The first reason is the same as many others - you only lose the work since the last save if it crashes. The second is that if you do something you don't like that you can't undo, just go back to the last save to recover the previous work. Then you can go in a different direction from there. The only aspect of it that I don't like is that you can't really run two sound files at the same time like you can with Power Point.
It's faily easy to use. I've had fun with it. I'm working on the videos for our Australia trip.

Thank you, JMG! I think you may have been the one that inspired me! Did you post a video of your trip last summer set to Knee Deep? I started in a power point and when I realized that wouldn't work, I had to learn how to transfer my slides because I didn't want to start over. Ugh!
Some of my picture quality may have suffered, but I'm pretty darn impressed for a technology novice! I made this for myself when I need a boost, but it will also serve as last year's trip report and I hope to post it later today on youtube and post the link. It's been a labor of love! And, I don't even scrapbook! Oh, I did use Knee Deep as one of my songs - had to- it's one of my favorites!
