I got out of Jury duty so I could go to my daughter's High School State golf tourney last spring, I just rescheduled it 3 months later. I do not think you should have a problem!
Same thing happened to me one year. I was summoned to jury duty during a scheduled vacation. All I had to do was send a letter explaining my situation and asked to be excused. They were really great about it and I didn't have to furnish proof. They just excused me from the duty.
Well, the letter is typed and all of the documentation is in the envelope ready to go. Guess I will find out May 25th what the "verdict" is. Right now, as far as I concerned, the trip is on. I definitely won't go down without a fight if it were to come to that. Thanks for all of the support!
