Newbie waving hi to the Forumites

Post by IndyKato »

Hi folks. I wanted to come out of lurkerdom to introduce myself. My name is Humpty. Actually, it's Karen (aka Kato). I just got carried away there for a second. (Spoiler alert: I'm a dork!)

As I have not been to STJ yet, this will probably be more a a parasitic relationship for a while. I hope that you will still allow me to join in the reindeer games here on the forum.

I'm fairly laid back, but still tend to research (and then research some more) before vacation. That's part of the fun, right? I've already learned a lot from lurking here, so I wanted to thank all of you who contribute.

Cheers!
Humpty/Karen/Kato/IndyKato

P.S. I'm sure I'll be back with some annoying newbie-type questions. Until then...I'm passing a virtual Painkiller/Bushwhacker/Presidente/insert your boozy beverage of choice your way.

P.S.S. Sorry if my avatar is showing up larger than life here. Awk-ward! Can anybody tell me how to make it smaller? (Runs back to being a lurker!)

Wecome Karen and thanks for the virtual bushwacker! So far, you have not told us when you are going. Are you going alone, as a couple, family, several couples?

No one on this forum will consider this parasitic until you have returned and failed to post a trip report. 8)

Fire away on the questions. All of us have had our questions. And we have found others who have provided answers for us.

Thanks for the warm welcome. Mr. IndyKato and I will be making our first trip to paradise at the end of April. It will be just the two of us, and we are staying at "The Place That Shall Not be Named" in Cruz Bay. To say that I am excited about our trip is an understatement.

Again, I'm sorry for the life-sized avatar that I was sporting before. I have also figured out how to make my first ticker. Whoo hoo! 8)

No worries!

A while back I went and searched for the posts that I had made for the nine months(!) I was on here before my first trip, just for old times sake.

Let's just say that the bar has been set pretty high as far as neurotic, annoying questions go!

Welcome IndyKato. I am a hoosier as well. Been to STJ twice now and hoping to be going back soon. I have done boat loads of research on almost everything on the island so if you think I can help you with something then ask away, I'd been glad to help you out. I LOVE planning and research :P

Welcome Kato! You've found the source of all the information you could possibly need for your best vacation every!

Yes, Augie, it IS funny to go back and read your own newbie posts!
Figuring it all out comes quickly after a few trips. My husband got his vacation approved this afternoon and I had flights, Jeep and accomodations in less than 1/2 hour.Yippee!
