Gas in Coral Bay?

Post by chicagoans »

Is Domino open in Coral Bay (or another gas station in its place?) Also, has the Hovensa closure had a large effect on being able to get gas? (I'm sure it will be expensive; I'm more worried about not being able to tank up when needed.)

I'll be there in a week (woo hoo!) and just wondering if I'm going to have to curtail my exploring due to gas issues. (Not PERSONAL gas issues! Driving the Jeep gas issues!)

Thanks for any info.

No gas in Coral Bay.

Hovensa still has a contract to supply the islands at a reduced rate thru June. After that expect to see a sharp increase but I don't think it should have hit yet.

Gased up in Cruz Bay for $4.33 a gallon last Friday. Only about fifty cents higher than back home. For the eight days I was there I spent $65 on gas and that was with two trips to Coral Bay. Went past the gas station in Coral Bay and it was closed.
Have fun....Al :P

Thanks everyone for the info! Good to know. I'll make sure to watch the tank and get gas in Cruz Bay when I'm there (we're staying in Coral Bay.) Island time soon come!

Just wondering why the gas station in Coral Bay shut down? It seems the island could use more than one place to get gas. Pia or anyone??
