Adopted Dog needs a ride!

Post by DCphoto »

Hi, My niece is trying to adopt a dog from St. John but they need an escort for him to Charlotte, NC. They will pay all expenses. If anyone is connecting through or flying to Charlotte, let me know or call the St. John Animal Shelter.

Thanks!!!!

Thanks for you quick reply, This is what was on the face book page for the shelter. Heather comes with me to St. John every year and wanted to adopt from the Island. Thanks for wanting to help, hope it works out for them and Orien.

ORIEN NEEDS A RIDE!!! Charlotte, NC residents (and ACC Supporters) Heather and Seth saw Orien on our page and fell in love. He would make the perfect addition to their new home with a big yard. They would love to celebrate Valentines Day with Orien. If anyone is heading to Charlotte and would assist with being Orien's escort they would greatly appreciate it. Please note that Orien will have to fly cargo and US AIR does not take dogs cargo, so it would need to be on another airline. Please call the shelter at 340-774-1625 if you can assist. Orien's new owners will pay all costs for his transport and would meet you at CLT with the biggest smiles on their faces.

Continental is great for shipping dogs, I think they have an awesome system. But, to get to Charlotte would be a connection, long trip for a dog, but doable....we shipped one from PR to Boston on Continental via Newark, the dog lived. :)

Hi
Just talked with Heather, she said she is willing to go to Atlanta to pick up the dog if this works better for people traveling.

Called today and looks like they are going to try and ship him directly to the owners. If something falls through, she is going to call and let me know. Otherwise looks like they may have their new doggie first of nxt wk! How exciting!!
