Techie question
Hey all you tech smart people, could I ask a question? I'm a volunteer coordinator for a music festival, and it's time to start the year's work. The festival database is FileMaker Pro, and it's mac, if that helps you answer.
If I downloaded the teamviewer app on my ipad, do you think I'd be able not just view, but manipulate data on the Filemaker Pro?
Thanks if anyone has an opinion/answer!

I use teamviewer on my iphone and ipad.
I have been able to login to remote servers while on vacation and fix problems without any issues. I have used many of these types of products and teamviewer is one of the best. The only one I like better is "LogMeIn Ignition" but it is more expensive than teamviewer and I am not sure there is a desktop client for Mac.
Using these apps does slow you down. You will never be as efficient as you would be sitting in front of a real keyboard and screen... but they work fine in a pinch.

Thanks, TravlJohn!!! That was the kind of feedback I was looking for. This is a smallish festival of about 8,000 attendees and 700 volunteers. Some of the volunteer coordinators do have some spare time in the midst of their normal day, to work for a few minutes.
Remote access is new to us. I can handle slow, and reduced productivity since there would be zero productivity if we continue the path we've been walking
