Memories vs Stuff

Post by WSUbeachcoug »

I have gone back and forth on if I should post this video. I decided to go ahead.
My husband and I decided to do something different for christmas this year. No presents for each other, a mid winter break to our favorite place. We supplied the house and food. The kids provided the fun!
We live in Seattle Wa. This trip included my husband and I, our three sons and their wives and our two year old grandson.
This was our third trip since 2008.
We have so many funny stories from this trip !! Wow!
I do not write well, so I made a video of some of our adventures. Thanks for all the help with information shared here! Hope you enjoyhttp://youtu.be/KSBLLExFS_I?t=4s

That is just fantastic!

We do the same thing in our family. Our little boy gets gifts but no adult gifts. Travel is our gift to each other.

What a great gift! Everyone looked like they had a fantastic time.

What house did you rent? It looks nice.
It's like looking in your soup and finding a whole different alphabet.

That is awesome! I'm going to ITunes to download that song and around September or October I'm going to play it for my husband. Maybe he'll get the hint!

Wonderful thought and I couldn't agree more! We have always valued memories and shared experiences over 'stuff' and do the same thing at Christmas. What's really great is when the kids get older and recite those memories back to you and really appreciate those memories...priceless!
