T&E trip report - Day 3 1/29/12
Here we are at Day 3 already.. Wow it sure is going fast, but doesn't it usually? Here is my daily installment. This is working out well - I write them the same night, the post the next morning after I re-read them for anything I missed. I hope you are enjoying them. Like I said, we are pretty boring people, but we are having a fantastic time down here, and so far I've been able to keep my cold under control. Just a few symptoms each day...
Day 3:
Greetings from the beautiful island of St. John. This truly is my happy place, and it’s definitely Eric’s too. Beautiful sunrise this morning. I’ll post pictures when we get home and I can download everything. I’ve got 3 cameras going so far.
So, this morning we started with breakfast, and was out the door to Maho at around 9:45. We were thinking that the weather was looking good, because it rained almost all night last night, but alas, that was not the case. We got to our favorite beach, set up camp, and it proceeded to rain. Rain stopped, we decided to get in a snorkel, went over the right and up to the point and around, and it rained about 2 more times in the 45 minutes we were out. Water was very murky, and visibility was not good. As we were coming out of the water, the rain started coming down in buckets, and it showed no signs of stopping, so we packed up, and left. Rained the whole way back to the house. BOOOO! Went back to the villa, and jumped in the hot tub… ahhh, got the chill off, and proceeded to get very sleepy! We both took naps (ahh – the wonders of vacation!), and we both woke up at 4:30 and realized that we needed to be at the Beach Bar to listen to Sol Driven Train.. We got ready and got up there around 6:00, and they had just taken a break after their first set. Before we got to the Beach Bar, however, we were walking down the beach, and this gal is looking at us, and said “I’ve got a strange question for you”. It turns out to be Jenn (CTBeachGirl) and her husband Todd. She recognized me from my picture that I posted! How about that? No one EVER recognizes me! It was so nice to meet her and her husband, we chatted with them for a few minutes, then on to the Beach Bar we went. Sol Driven Train was awesome as usual, but we were hungry, so we went in search of sustenance. We ended up at High Tide for dinner, YUM!
Back home, and nighty night time. We’ve got another big day tomorrow. We have friends staying on St. Thomas and we are going over there tomorrow to spend the day with them. We also have our excursion on Daydreamer on Tuesday, and I’m really looking forward to that too… Now, if I can only unfog my snorkel mask…
Talk soon!

[/url]Happy happy Monday
For your snorkel mask try cleaning with non abrasive toothpaste and really, really rub it in and then rinse and when you snorkel I always use 50/50 baby shampoo and water instead of spit - works like a charm - spray inside and outside, rub around then *dunk* in saltwater only do this once you are ready to literally put your head in the water don't do it then apply sunscreen etc as it wont work.
Hope this helps
Enjoy
