My heart really goes out to you and your family because on a scale of 1 to 10, most know that a sudden passing is an 11.
Lean hard on your faith and friends and keep on reaching outward to them as much as you need to, now and in the coming months, to help you cope. It will actually make them feel useful.
When we come to place where the sea and the sky collide
Throw me over the edge and let my spirit glide
As a longtime lowly lurker i feel compelled to add my sincerest condolences. The forum family is so warm and caring; I hope the heartfelt sympathies expressed here help to ease your pain if even only a little bit and that sometime you are able to get back to St John and the island works some of it's magic on you.
Carolyn- I have been off the forum for a little while and just catching up. One of my last reads was about your upcoming trip. I am so, so unbelievably sad for you. Please know that I am sending thoughts and prayers for strength in the coming days.
Carolyn - My heartfelt condolences to you and your family. While I don't know anyone on this forum personally, I always have a special place in my heart for people who "get" my love of St. John - hopefully you and your husband's shared love of St. John will be one of the many wonderful things that will be with you forever in your heart.
We are so sorry for your loss and pray you find some comfort in a life well lived.
We are going to take your advice and plan another trip to STJ.
Thank you for helping us set some priorities.
I am very sorry to hear of the unexpected and tragic loss of your husband. May you find greater strength and draw comfort from others to help you through this terrible time.
