Tortola/Virgin Gorda day trip
Hi everyone! 25 days until I'm on the rock...so excited!
I am interested in visiting Virgin Gorda and Tortola on the same day ... just a few hours in each spot. I know the ferry only goes to VG on Sundays and Thursdays. I am already taking a charter with Palm Tree another day but am not doing either destination (and I know that John no longer does the Baths). All of that being said, do any of you have a suggestion as to how we can accomplish this? It's almost like I need a water taxi to both???
Any feedback is appreciated! Thanks!

I would either pick one or the other or do them by different days by ferry. I would suggest having Captain John take you to Soper's Hole and Smuggler's Cove (or whatever he suggests) to see a little bit of Tortola. You could then take the ferry to Virgin Gorda another day. Virgin Gorda is about 1.5 hours by ferry each way, so that already takes up a lot of your day.
Going "home" again October 26th!
Agree with Brenda. We once took the ferry to Road Town, Tortola, while we were vacationing on Virgin Gorda, and in retrospect we believe it was a waste of a day. We arrived at Road Town and we wandered around looking at shops for a few hours, had something to eat, and then returned to VG. I'm not sure if you've got specific plans of what you'd like to do on Tortola, but arriving in Road Town via ferry is just not what I'd do, now that I understand my needs for an island vacation a bit more.
That being said, I totally understand the draw of taking the ferry to VG from STJ. You can easily hop on a cab and go check out the Baths and Spring Bay, and mosey around Spanish Town, Virgin Gorda.
