Love your blog! Your pics are amazing. Do you mind if I ask what camera you are using? We may get a new one before our first trip in May.

The camera is an older Panasonic Lumix - its a great point and shoot camera. I don't remember the exact model but its pretty close to this one:

We use to have one of those. Forget how I broke it but I did. I might have to look into it again. We have a Kodak one now and I really do not care for the color in the photos. A point and shoot is right down my alley since I am so hard on them anyway! Thank you.

Absolutely loved your trip report Susan! You always stay at the nicest places! :D
Kaleidoscopic looks perfect~ I would love to stay there someday! Did you have a remote or code to get into the Ditliff gate? I have not been out that way in years so I wondered if they have built any other villas on that point yet. :?
Caneel is perfect too! (even more perfect without rain but no complaining here! You missed a snow storm for goodness sake!)
Thanks again for taking me right back to my happy place too . . . how are you gonna top that next year? 8)
I've got 2 tickets to paradise~Pack your bags we'll leave tonight!

Pianogrl - Kaleidoscope is pretty much run by the owner. They have their own website. Unfortunately with its popularity the intro prices are no longer: www.kaleidoscopeusvi.com

msgcolleen - Yes we were given a code to get into the gate. Besides one big climbing turn, the ride to Ditleff Point wasn't too bad. I just would get nervous making the right into the point since there is a blind turn coming from the other way. My post trip depression has kicked in and I am already thinking about next year. I know its going to be difficult to top this one for sure. Hoping to coax another couple with us so we can go back :D

AMAZING TR!!! I've been eyeing Kaleidoscope for a while now...but your TR might have just pushed me over the edge to book! Congrats on 10 years together, and here's to many more!

Thanks for sharing!

And very cool about the Manta Ray, if Liamsaunt hasn't seen one, you know they must be rare :)
