I just got an email from them telling me that they are having their 2 for 1 sale through the end of the year. If you insert the code 2112 in the coupon box, they will cut your cost in half. This is a good deal.

Are these sturdy enough to check or do most people use them as carry on?

The last cooler we checked split open, but it wasn't a Polar!
