Villa suggestions for a group of 12?

Post by klikesfins »

We are on island right now and part of our time has been spent looking at larger villas for a group to come back in early June. Want to stay in the area somewhere between great Cruz bay and Ditlift point. Price range around $7000/week. We looked at Great Expectations and are going to look at Panache and Eden's Whim tomorrow. Has anyone stayed at any of these or have any other suggestions? Thanks for your help!

Stayed at Vistaero in May 09. Great view and very large spaces for a big group (deck, pool, common rooms).

I second the Vistaero nomination. I have stayed there twice and will definitely stay again. Amazing views, pool, uncovered and covered areas, great kitchen. And well priced. Just love it.

Panache feedback

Post by auntbevie »

just returned a few weeks ago ...2nd time at Villa Panache. Our group of 12 stayed at Panache and it was perfect for a large group...there are 5 bedrooms and the study off the family room has a trundle that pops up to a king bed and the full bath is convenient...
you can't beat the views from this house and its so nice having the pool with bar and covered dining area on the same level as the family room and kitchen area. This keeps everyone on the same floor and its easy to bring food, beverages outside without the issue of stairs. Getting to Cruz Bay for restaurants and groceries is an easy drive.
Privacy...you don't see any other houses...can't beat this. Beautiful landscape all around the house too. The kitchen is very well equipped ... the layout and large counter is perfect for big groups.

You might look at renting Tennis Villa along with the adjoining Tennis Cottage. View of Great Cruz Bay on one side and Chocolate Hole on the other.

Thanks to everyone for the suggestions. We were able to drive by Panahce and Oceana before leaving the island. Loved the view from Panache and the fact you could hear the waves. That amazed me. Now just need to get the group to decide on a time!

We talked with folks staying at Villa St John on Chocolate Hole during this past Presidents week. It is right on the water. They got a last minute deal (high season) for less than your target.

We rented Ciellodonna, which will sleep 12 (last 2 in loft with no ac), has a very nice pool area, great view and walk to water. Only downside is that it is on the east facing side of Maria Point giving an early sunset.
