Tree Tops/Bordeaux Mt
Tree Tops/Bordeaux Mt
Anybody have any experience/info on Tree Tops Villa on Bordeaux Mt? View, drive, pool, cons, etc? We are looking for mid-late February and wondering if it is alot windier/cooler on the mt to a point we would not enjoy the decks at night or pool during the day. We realize the pool will not be hot but would hope to be able to get in it during the day. Thanks!

We stayed at Tree Tops in 2005.
It was just my husband and me so we stayed in the main house. There are two bedrooms detached. I do not like this layout for multiple couples, but for just one couple it was fine.
The house is nice. The drive there was crazy and the driveway was crazier. We needed 4WD for the driveway. Maybe because it was our first time to STJ it seemed crazy, but my husband now uses that drive as a benchmark for how crazy roads/driveways are.
We had several problems with the villa. First, the pool was freezing. I mean so cold we never used it and I wouldn't even dip my toes in it after the first time. Second, the hot tub wasn't working and the management company came and couldn't fix it.
Third, it was definitely colder at night on the mountain than in other locations on the island.
Fourth, and most important to us, there was NO view. The website showed a distant view above the trees. The trees had grown so much that even standing on the deck railings we couldn't see anything but trees.
Other than that, the house itself was nice inside and out.
Possibly things have changed since 2005. You could ask the management company about the view, maybe trees have been pruned. That may resolve the view issue and possibly give more daylight to the pool.
Hope this helps. PM me for any more details if you need them.
