Caneel Bay Beaches During Closure

Post by Captain Jack »

I know snorklequeen asked a similar question, but..........When the resort is closed, can you still drive in and use the beaches like you can when they are open????????????

You can not drive in. You have to park on the road and walk in.

I'm not sure you can park on the road and walk in either - I was told they don't want people walking around the resort (rooms, ruins, restaurant space etc) when they are closed so you have to hike in via the trail.........hummm - but again I don't know for sure.

We did this last year. You will park on the road and walk in. They will only allow you to access Caneel's main beach. The other beaches were off limits.

We did notice that they were doing a lot of maintenance work on the buildings and grounds so maybe that is a reason why they don't want visitors walking around the property?
