Have fun. I love packing for the trip, playing my STJ music and thinking about the beaches and people I have missed. Here's to a very southern track!

I finally got crackin and packin. Washing clothes from the Cape trip this weekend. Leaving for the airport hotel about 4 this afternoon. Leave tomorrow for Charlotte where I will meet my sister and then it's off to STJ. Can't wait to renew old friendships and make new ones. See you all at the BB Sunday if not before.

Leave it, it will be there when you get back. Erma Bombeck says Who cares if your house isn't clean! - or something of the sort - but good words to live by. :D

Clean the toilets, wipe down the counters, make the bed, start the dishwasher and get the heck out of there.

Knolmom, after all of your trials and tribulations just getting to go, you deserve a very LARGE time. I know you will enjoy your trip and I wish only the best for you and hubby! Be sure and check out Bones at the dock. My goodness, all those lovely cool spun mixes and copius amounts of Bones to your taste. Makes for fun walking around/shopping. Best drink ever! :D

Crakin

Post by Knolmom »

Thanks for the tip. Was going to bring some frozen stuff in a soft side cooler but now I dont know. There could be a delay as they are still forcasting stormy weather for our travel day Wed and I dont want the stuff to defrost if we are delayed. We were only checking one large gear bag but now DH doesnt want to be rolling carry-ons around in the rain so I think we'll check 2 and go hands free except for a back pack.Chinga chinga before the vacay even starts. Oh well, its only money.

Coming down the home stretch

Post by Knolmom »

Coming down the home stretch with the packin. Very few clothes, fewer undies,3 bathing suits, 100 tea bags and 20 pks popcorn. Have 45 miscellaneous half tubes of various sunscreens, oils and emollients and a few odd bottles of bug repellent containing deet. Also 12 mosquito repellent bands.
Think I am down to the part where you throw out half the clothes and add twice the money. Isn't that how it's supposed to go?
The good news-- we may miss Emily.
The bad news--it is headed for my condo in West Palm Beach.
Sometimes you just can't win.
