I do! I bought the liners also. I have not used it yet but will report back in a couple of weeks. I personally think it is going to be terrific. Because of the size of my group, we needed two coolers to bring to the beach this time and it is so much easier for me to carry weight on my back.

I just ordered one for an upcoming (not STJ) trip. I waffled for a while but I think it will get a lot of use.

So does the polar bear backpack cooler fit underneath an airplane seat?

Yeah, but most people will have to take it off first...

Ok - here goes...Augie - can you post your pic of your early morning diving board?

Don't do it if you'll get kicked off the board. Ha!!

Headed out to go shopping...I'll check back in later to see if the pic has been posted. I will not hold my breath!

LIKE!!

My first thought was, Piggy Back! As a beast of burden myself, I find it easier to carry a cooler in each hand so my spine does not bend in an s-curve. The backpack looks like a great product. I like that it's tall and can take 750ml bottles standing up.

I love their warning that the zipper is not water proof, "This means, if you bend over for some reason with cold water inside from ice meltdown, it's coming out onto your head. This may actually be a good thing on those hot summer day hikes. You're a man! You can take it!"

Cheers, RickG

That "warning" cracked me up too. You just know someone complained about being shocked by the runoff.

I had emailed the company to inquire about other colors and had a very funny exchange with customer service about the Mossy Oak (camo) pattern and beer coolers trying to hide in the bushes. I ordered the silvery gray color to be safe!

I am hoping to use it as my personal item/carry-on February.

There's this injunction filed by the Seagrape Hill Homeowners Association...something about preservation of property values, biohazard cleanup, and so on...

Some of you know that I have been a bit grumpier than usual lately... this thread made me laugh! Thank you!

I can't comment on the Homeowners' Association... most have plenty of rules, but I am sure there was no diving board involved in that picture.

I checked!

I don't have the polar bear backpack cooler; I have a less efficient, cheaper one by "picnic time", and it works quite well on hikes, and yes, it fits under the seat on the plane.... it is my personal carry on item.
