Cloud 9 Villa

Post by Jumper »

We stayed at the Cloud 9 villa last week and we would like to let everyone know that if you are looking for one of the best views on the islands and an extremely clean and well equipped villa, this place can`t be beat. The owners (Linda & Allen) were great to deal with and were very laid back and took the time to set down and give us an overview of the island and house. We will be back and look forward to the next visit in 2013. I hope my pictures work, because they really show how nice of a house this is.

We never missed a sunset all week!

jumper,

i've been singing c9 (villa & owners) praises since our 1st stay oct 05 and 3 subsequent stays. we've stayed in numerous other villas around the island but none offer better views, more comfort (including everything on 1 level) or better value. though she is not a luxury villa, she is comfortable as an old shoe and i will never forget 1st time i walked through the entrance gate to that view.

thanks for the new pictures that truly depict the essence of cloud 9!

I've definitely looked at this villa several times. It's really nice, though my husband has an issue with the "no covered porch" aspect (the gazebo doesn't cut it for him). I've yet to find "my" villa in St. John, and I hope to stay here one day. It's a great value.

We are already thinking about our next trip and we hope Cloud 9 will still be available. The property is for sale, so I hope that if it sells, the new owners take the same pride in ownership that Allen and Linda do.

Thanks for posting your pics. Cloud 9 has been on our list for a while, but I can't seem to book in time to get it for our trip. Love the views. I was wondering whether the deck and pool are private? I thought there was a villa very close on one side, but wasn't sure if they had a view into the deck area.

i belive last fall's hurricane did some damage to trees/shrubs that reduced privacy from left (palm)that you can't see from deck area, only great room, and to right (seawatch) which might have opened visibilty to/from c9 deck. i had assumed from pics i saw of damage that the rapid growth of vegetation on stj would have closed up most of openings toward seawatch (which has a fairly new villa frontright of it).

jumper, what's current visibilty from seawatch?

It looks amazing, but it looks like they only do Saturday to Saturday. We usually travel mid week to get better airline deals. Any one know if they are hard and fast about this? (we only do summer)

I think C9 does any combo of days - I know in the many times we've stayed there, it's certainly never been Sat. to Sat. I think the owners are flexible.

Also, thanks Jumper - we're going to be there in a month, and I'm the one that took the pictures (from last year) of Hurricane Earl damage that Papabou referred to, showing the vegetation damage that, at the time, reduced the privacy that C9 is known for. It's great to know that it must have all grown back!

Looking at your great pics means it'll be a long month 'til we arrive.... Thanks!
