I think you hit the nail on the head Brenda. The vast majority of his trips have been to Toronto. Never a problem.
In Vancouver or whatever little airport he went to nearby, he had passed through everything and was on the plane before he was pulled off with other people. They must have been entering passports into the system when the old offenses showed up.
Anyways, here is some good news. The lawyer got an email from the embassy that they have his letter. Hopefully we will have it in hand by Saturday!
