Just wondering what the current status of this is and how it affects renting in Chocolate Hole. Peace, quiet, seclusion are important to us.

Things at Pond Bay have been halted for months. I don't see them starting up any time soon either. They ran out of money and are having a hard time getting more to complete the job. They owe a lot of local contractors a lot of money. Should be really quiet around there since the only person working is a security guy.
If they do start back up....noise-wise some of it depends on where you are in Chocolate Hole. They were working on it one time we were there staying in Chocolate Hole & we never heard a thing. Where we stayed was so quiet & peaceful, at least while we were there at the villa. We couldn't even see the development from our villa so that made a huge difference in visual & noise.
Nothing is going on there, and hasn't been for quite awhile. The last action they saw was when they had a big sale selling off everything that wasn't nailed down. Haven't heard any further updates for a long time.
We have been staying at a place in Chocolate Hole all week with a direct view of it. We haven't seen any activity or heard any noise from there all week. In fact, it looks mostly boarded up.
