2+ bedrooms under $2000 in June? Help!

Post by cmw5682 »

I'm taking three newbies (yikes) to St. John with me June 2012. I'm driving myself crazy trying to find a place to stay that meets all the criteria and need some input before I lose my mind! Here's what we need...
-the closer to Cruz Bay, the better
-sleeps 4- 2 beds would be doable, but 4 would be best
-pool would be nice, but not mandatory
-AC in the bedrooms is a must
-under $2000 in June is a must
-we don't need fancy, but safe and clean with good screens on the windows is a must!
Taking 3 newbies really scares me. I LOVE St. John but I can see how those who like to be pampered at the Ritz would hate it!

Check out Jasmine Villa.
http://www.caribbeanvillas-stjohn.com/J ... smine.html
I stayed there two years ago and looking at the website its been updated some. They added a king size bed in the master bedroom and looks like they refurnished the lower bedroom with two twins instead of a double. There is a third loft bedroom above the livingroom. The house is an open plan the walls in the master do not go all the way to the celing but are high partitions, so if it's a couples vacay it's not private. However the entire main part of the house is AC'd. It's not new but I found it to be very clean and well kept, expect the kitchenware was mix and match but we made do.
The pool was just for Jasmine although there are two other smaller villas on the same property. It has a great veiw and is walking disitance from the Westin to place it's location for you.

CV is offering a last minute 20% off untill 6/30 which makes it well within your budget.

http://www.caribbeanvillas-stjohn.com go to the last minute deals- they are offering quite a few in your price range 2-3 bedrooms in Cruz Bay - just need to exact check dates. Good luck!

Amora (Caribbean Villas) fits your needs almost to a tee. $1960/week for 4 (though of course there's tax), 4 BR, AC, pool, in Cruz Bay. The website says easy 5 minute walk to town, but I have never stayed there to say if it's accurate, but if it is that would be good for newbies.

Amora would be a good choice, but while it sleeps four, it only has two bedrooms. We walked past this property every day and it's well situated.

We stayed across the street at Battery Hill. You might consider these condos among your options. Although they only have two bedrooms, some also have a sleep sofa in the living room.

PM me if you'd like details.

Sorry for "mistyping" about the number of bedrooms at Amora, it sleeps 4 but in 2 bedrooms. If that works for your group, you should also consider Aqua Gem/Ocean Pearl and come in a little under budget, or Jasmine for $30 over budget, or Hawksbill for $16 over budget.
Also, VRBO.com has some interesting things that may work for your group as well.
