Time Zone

Post by ileen »

We are getting excited about our first trip to St. John since it is only 17 more days before we leave on June 15th. I am a little confused about what time zone it is in STJ. In Iowa we are on CST so at 9 a.m. here, would it be 10 a.m. in STJ? They are the same as Eastern Standard time??

Can't wait to see STJ.. Thanks for your input!

VI is EST right now, but they don't do daylight savings adjustment, so when we fall back in November, they stay the same.

You are right. The USVI are in the Atlantic Standard Time zone all year around. During daylight savings time, Eastern Daylight time is the same as the islands; otherwise, the islands are one hour ahead.

Have a great trip!!!

During the summer, it's an hour ahead of CST on STJ. During the winter it's two hours ahead on STJ.
