Speaking of Jimmy Buffet

Post by b-as-u-r »

Let me just say that that the frozen concoction maker that you can buy off the Margaritaville website is a must. The shaved ice makes the difference. Just enjoyed a few margaritas listening to Keith Urban. I will now be able to make it to Saturday...lift off day to STJ. Ali~

Le Gourmet Shop (in outlet malls) carry the margarittaville margaritta maker. I don't remember the price, but it was much cheaper. I may have to go pick one up! Thanks for the tip, b-as-u-r!

Thanks, b-as-u-r. I've thought about buying one of these but the price and bulkiness were holding me back. How many drinks can you make at a time? I've also considered the Island Oasis machine that many bars carry (black with ice hopper on top). The only problem with these is that they're only sold commercially and I think they only use their Island Oasis mix which isn't always that good. I've seen a few available on eBay. I'm hoping the Frozen Concoction Maker comes down in size and price or I'll have to see if they is a Le Gourmet Shop nearby.

Cypressgirl: I agree, Keith's special was the best. I hate to admit it, but it was even better than Kenny's. ...and so another work week begins - ugh!

I believe the machine makes 2-3(big) drinks at a time. They really are great. I was fortunate enough to receive mine as a birthday gift for one of my 39th birthdays (I've had 6 now). Ali~

Thanks, Ali.

beachluvers - I found a Le Gourmet Shop near me, so I'll have to check out their price (it's not available at their online store though). Thanks for the heads up.
