Westin vacation ownership question

Post by INfamily »

We recently invested in a Starwood vacation ownership and would like to use it next December at the Westin St John property. Does anyone have insight on reserving these villas? Such as: Hillside vs Bayview. We need to call for the reservation on April 3 "at 9 am sharp", so we are told. Any insider info on that? Any help you could give us would be great. We do want a 2 bedroom unit, as we are bringing another couple with us. After renting villas on the island for 15 years, this is a little strange to us.

Ive stayed there once, in a 3 br pool villa, it was pretty nice. The bay view villas are on the bay side of the property the hillside villas are across the street and up the hill, just across the street is where you will find the pool villas. There are staff buzzing around in golf carts to give you rides should you need one. You can also get a taxi anytime right out by the road. All and all its a nice place, the staff at the restaurants and bar a slow even by "island time" but you learn to deal with it - and by deal with it I mean order 2 rounds of drinks at a time :) !

In regards to getting a reservation -its pot luck, you just need to keep calling. We were able to get the 3br pool villa - as were several other people we spoke with - by doing so at the last minute, about 45 days out. If you have the points to get one it was awesome 3000+ sq ft, 3 1/2 baths... private pool, hot tub (not all units have hot tubs)

We've stayed on both parts....timeshare owners. You can't go wrong with the Bayview units - either the 2 or 3 BR will work out!

In case you didn't find it, here is the link that shows the floorplans!

You could ask SJNJ, he has had years of timeshare experience at SJ Westin. Oh wait... he got banned.
Never mind, another one bit the dust !
