Friday the 13th
So we are all set. Officially bumped our trip up to land one day early. I didn't feel so great about flying on Friday the 13th of May. We arrive the 12th and can't wait. It has been a long long snowy winter.
1st year on Palm Tree Charters and with a few fourmites. Oh the wheels are spinning. I sure hope Capt knows what he's getting into.

I'm superstitious like that too! We loved Captain John and meeting fellow forumites on our trip last month. Our video's are up on his website under Hagar (law mom) and also NancyB and myself killing Mega jenga at Pirates! Good times! Hopefully by the time you return all this snow here will be gone!

I am actually suprised we even booked a charter already. We usually decide what we are going to do when we wake up.mahojim wrote:I think it's some sort of medicinal shot your family doctor/local bartender can prescribe so's you remember to not make too many plans.Boston Mike wrote:

For some reason I thought you and K were arriving earlier. We'll be sure to send Nicolle over to greet you again with drinks in hand.TrvlJohn wrote:Boston Mike:
Thanks for pointing that out...of course the 13th is the day that Karen and I are flying in.
Oh well...just another reason to drink rum...no worries.

Can't wait for that drink...
Karen and I have already programmed the phone number of the caretaker of our house into our cell phones. Last year we told them we were going to be on the 4:00 ferry. Needless to say, they were a little upset when we did not get to the house until 10 PM. I had to be extra nice the next 2 weeks to convince them I wasn't normally a drunken idiot! (But at least I didn't put my head in the banana cutout at the Banana Deck...Hahaha...still laugh when i look at that picture.)
Found out something else last night. The 17th is a full moon. Sunset is at 6:46 PM and Moonrise is at 7:15 PM. I have heard that it is great to watch the sunset and the moonrise from the end of Rams Head. It is about a one mile hike from Salt Pond and relatively flat. (http://www.stjohntour.com/RamsHeadTrail.html) Something to think about. Try to talk Nicolle into it and bring your flashlights.
You too Poolmom...
I am so ready to be there.
