Help on charter

Post by MIke »

Looking for some help on a day charter to scoot around the BVI's snorkeling and ending up at Soggy Dollar. The typical trip.
Only problem is there are 8 of us which includes my wife and myself and 5 college/highschool girls with one boyfriend in tow.Wanted to use Capt.John but 6 is his limit.
Oceanrunner can carry 10 but with all these screaming girls, was hoping for something a little larger that want break the bank.
I know I'm asking for the moon but it never hurts to ask.
Thanks for any help.

We did Pirates Penny last year. Great boat, knowledgable staff, really fun trip.

They can take 10, plus 2 crewmembers

LOVED all of our trips with Capt. Dan & his wife Donna on their vessel-
www.motoryachtcinnamonbay.com .
Very roomy, comfortable, onboard "head",and just wonderful people. As professional & knowledgable as they are laid-back.
Good luck!

unfortunately wet woody's and motor yacht cinnamon bay only can do the legal 6 passenger limit.

Born to Rhumb and Stormy Petrel can do 10, price not listed on Stormy Petrel web site....I just emailed them, we also have 7 this April, would like to price out something other than Ocean Runner. New Horizons can do more also, but again need price to have the entire boat to ourselves...they have no email, need to call.

I have a private charter with Stormy Petrol/Pirates Penny in July and their current rate is $135 per person. They take 10 in one of their boats and 12 in the other. To have a private charter it's either $1350 or $1620 depending on which boat you need.

I highly recommend Born to Rhumb. We go out with Captain Kevin every year and it is always the highlight of our trip.

yes, his prices look very reasonable, is he based in Cruz?

I like having the fuel included, last year we got dumb and didn't check the ocean runner fuel tank before starting....I'm quite sure we got way overcharged for fuel at the end of the day, I don't think it was full when we started but oh well that's life.

Born to Rhumb says he adds a fuel surcharge based on price.....pswlrw what have you paid for this in years past?

Kevin picks up at the National Park Dock in Cruz Bay. I haven't paid a fuel surcharge, but I think that's just a personal favor. I know he will tell you up front when you book what it will be. Also, his cost includes the custom fees and all the beer, soda, water and painkillers you can drink!

I'm also assuming 20% tip, even though he owns the boat. Sound correct?
