Not St John but the Maldives. Got back from there five days ago and will do a trip report with photos when I have uploaded my pictures. But here are two pictures. Wish you a great weekend:

I believe it's an "Indian sailfin tang". I really needed my pacific fishguide on this trip as there are so many species there. It was so much fun trying to identify the fishes, but I have not managed to get them all yet (and I proably won't). I have a picture of a beautiful butterfly fish but it's not looking like any of those in the book.

And M-B - it was a fabulous trip and all my expectations were met.

Ah, I have a thing for partially or fully dotted sea creatures. That fish is beautiful.

I'm so looking forward to your report, Maggy. (Hurry, hurry...)

OH WOW and WOW, Maggy! Beautiful! Is that where you stayed out over the water? My dream to do that for a long time now. Can't wait to read and see the rest of your TR!

Hi Maggy!

I'm too looking forward to your report, the first pics are just awesome. We have had a great vacation on the Maldives too, but didn't have photos from
underwater.

A great weekend to you too. We are going to Copenhagen
this weekend. Haven't been there for a while, but need
to see the opera house from inside and the new "Skuespilhus" - don't know the word in English.

Unfortunately we did not stay in an overwater villa, because they were all booked. We had to settle with a beach villa, but that was great too. And only half of the cost of the overwater villas. It would have been nice to try it, maybe next time if we can afford it. It wasn't exactly the cheapest destination we have visited.

Hopefully I'll be ready tomorrow with editing the photos so I can start with the TR.

Linne - which island did you visit? We stayed at Vilamendhoo in south Ari atoll.
