A Gromit Beach Tip for the Ladies
A Gromit Beach Tip for the Ladies
SO as I contemplate my upcoming departure I wax poetic and decide to impart random knowledge and experience upon my fellow forumites.
For those of you who have been around a long time -- I'm as good as clockwork when it comes to this kind of thing.
If you're new, you get the benefit of a handy tip or two. So here's today's installment. This one is more for the ladies...
When going to the beach I always bring a cover up type dress with a smock or stretchy top and a bottom that comes to my knees. Here's an example: http://www.swimoutlet.com/ProductDetail ... ick=310393
They come in various colors and fabrics and are popular at Old Navy in the summer and I find them invaluable on STJ. Why? you ask?
Here's why... after a long morning and early afternoon of snorkeling I start to get hungry and start contemplating a juicy Skinny Legs burger.
At this point in the day I, of course, am in a wet and sticky and sand filled bathing suit.
While I can enjoy a great Skinny's burger in just about ANY condition, I prefer to do so in clothing that is DRY.
Remember that little dress with the smock top? Well I pop that puppy on OVER my Tankini (I highly recomend tankini's over one peice suits) and do the Gromit "Flim Flam Shim Sham"
In other words i can easily change from my wet bathing suit to completely dry clothing in full view of anyone while covered up completely the entire time.
Then when I have my dry clothing on, I just slide the stretchy dress down and VOILA! Dry clothes, happy girl, headed to Skinny Legs for lunch!
