Ruth 'Sis' Frank passed at age 86. I never met her but have read about her in books about the island and her various activities throughout the years.
Folks like her are truly treasures to be cherished.
My thoughts go out to her family and friends.

Oh, no! Very sad!
I didn't know her either but I've seen her many times at the Beach Bar front and center at Sunday Jazz.
She has a wonderful history on the island.
Thank you for letting us all know.

Thanks for posting. What an interesting life it must have been to have moved to St. John in 1959.

Sis is St. John thru and thru. She was such a lovely woman. I got the pleasure of working with her when I worked at Tradewinds and also taught at the School of arts. I got an opportunity to work with the Beacon Program at JESS and teach as well.
I just love her. She will be missed.
There's no $ sign on a peace of mind, this I've come to know

What a beautiful tribute. Sounds as if she was quite an amazing person. My thoughts and prayers go out to all of those feeling her loss.
