Va Forum Gathering! 10/16 at RickG's Mad Fox
I only took one picture last night at Mad Fox.Crash was on his knees pleading for the Phillies. Though his prayers weren't answered last night, the Phillies crushed the Giants tonight.

When you find yourself in a hole.... quit digging.
What a wonderful way to spend an evening! It was great to meet and put faces to members of the forum family.
I should have proposed a toast to Rick G and NoTanLines, but alas the evening got away from us all.
It was SO GREAT to meet everyone. Joanne-- thanks for herding the cats on this one and thanks to Rick G for providing a roof over our heads and food for our stomachs. Mad Fox lives up to the well-deserved hype.
I'm not going to start naming people becuase I know I will forget someone, but suffice to say I enjoyed talking with and meeting EVERYONE.
For those of you who are lurkers I urge you to come out of lurkdom! Join the forum and become part of the craziness.
One of the most special moments for me (among many that night) was Dan and his sweetheart attending the event. He presented all the forumites with a handmade wooden ornament. He actually lives in Lancaster, PA but was in the area for a craft show. I thanked him for the lovely gift and asked him what his screenname was and he said that he was just a lurker, but that he was so grateful for everyone's advice over the past few years that he felt like he wanted to give something back.
I know that so many of us spend a good deal of time on this forum helping others and it's so nice to know that we are really making a difference and helping people make the most of their trips to the VI. I guess it's our little way of paying it forward.
I can't say enough good things about the evening overall. Suffice to say that I look forward to connecting with a few folks this December!
It was so fantastic to meet everyone!!
((hugs)) and love to all!!

I think Gromit said it all. The evening was wonderful and I'm so glad I decided to come solo...thanks to JoAnn and her hubby for "adopting" me for the evening. I'll forget someone, too, so just know it was so much fun to meet all of you and spend such a fun time together. If you even get up our way, be sure and put Mad Fox on your "to do" list...a beautiful place, and the drinks and food were wonderful, and just kept coming!!! Thanks again to JoAnn for deciding this was something we needed to do and just started the ball rolling, and to Christine and Rick for serving as such wonderful hosts. And to Dan, our "lurker" who showed up with beautiful wooden ornaments - how special to do that and how great you and your lovely wife decided to join us. I hope we do it again. Must throw in a special "thank you" here to Mr. Gromit - what a good sport to pose for a "Tony Stewart" picture with me!!
Aww VAGirl-- "Tony" loved you too!!
For those of you who are not aware and who happen to be Nascar fans, Mr. Gromit is the spitting image of driver Tony Stewart. No lie. Same height, weight, age, crooked smile, eyes, nose, hair -- you name it.
We get stopped in airports all the time with people asking if he's Tony Stewart. DCPhoto's hubby calls Mr. Gromit "Nascar" as a joke.
The likeness really is uncanny. So we thought it would be funny if VAGirl got a photo with "Tony" to show her friends.
VAGirl-- you'll have to tell me if it fools anyone!!

@JimG20- LOL ROFL!!! I guess you're right about that.
Lets jsut say I sent a pic I found of TS to Mr. Gromits Mom a couple of years back (when hubby started getting stopped all the time) and she said, "Why is XXXX in that funny orange jumpsuit?"
The picture even fooled Mr. Gromit's Mom!
