Orbitz price assurance

I gave in and booked our airfare today for our June trip. We are flying out of Pittsburgh with a connection in Philly. This is the highest price we have paid but I fear that it might go higher. I booked on Orbitz and they state they refund you if another customer books the same flight at a lower price. Has anyone ever had this actually happen?

I have not personally but a co-worker just flew to portugal in mid september and said she received a refund for $84. I don't think you receive it right away, I vaguely remember her mentioning there is a wait to get it.....

My understanding was that the other person has to book your exact itinerary, not just the same flight (assuming you are connecting from somewhere.

That said, it could still happen and if so, it would be a nice bonus.
