It's a bit premature to say Gaston is headed for the USVIs. Right now, the projections on NOAA don't even have this storm reaching land by Monday. Way too early to tell what this will do, but all of the islands will be keeping their eyes on Gaston.

Gaston is looking like it will reach hurricane status - it is too early with the tracking though to see just where it is going. In a couple of days the picture should be much clearer.

From weather.com on Thursday 9/2/10
FORMER DEPRESSION GASTON

As of 5 pm EDT Thursday Gaston is now only a remnant low and no more advisories will be issued for the system unless it regenerates.
