Wow, The water level has really come up on the beach & it looks like the one dinghy to the right has almost sunk.

If the swells get much larger they'll be breaking over the ferry dock.....

WOW...I just looked at the Spice Web Cam...are those orange things on the beach life jackets from the lost dinghy's? Looks pretty rough. All of you who are down there right now, please stay safe and dry. I know you probably can't read this right now....no electricity or internet, but our thoughts are with you!

Doubt the dingy dock will survivie, that's a mooring ball next to it. I think the other dingy's may have sunk.

Dude! This is not good. Stay safe everyone.

It looks like the only dinghy that is going to survive is that ratty little one that was the topic of discussion recently. :o

Yikes!

Two questions -

1. who owns or is responsible for the dingy dock? Just wondering how long it will take to rebuild.

2. Why would people leave their dinks and small boats in the water? No way to pull them out? Lack of storage space?

Just a guess, but those dinks look like they never move. I suspect they may have been abandonned or the owners off island.

As for rebuilding, Island time prevails. Im sure you will see alot of beached dinks in the future.

I keep doing a double take on the dock and dingy shot. That pale yellow form over by the dock keeps looking for all the world like a diver (see the tank?)using a snorkel (see it sticking up?). Of course, I'm sure it's not somebody. Probably a 14-foot-long illusion.

Hope you're all well. Is the power more or less on? Or is everyone on generator now?

One good thing -- it'll blow the mosquitoes away for a few days.

Best from the mainland,

Cat

That dinghy is proving to be more resiliant than the Titanic. Who would've thought?

Conditions are set to get worse later today. Fingers crossed and let's hope this one is quick moving.
