Any Reviews of Blue Agave Villa?
We are staying at Blue Agave Villa next month for two weeks. I remember a few people saying they were staying there in 2010. Any recent reviews?
Blue Agave was very nice. It’s the first villa you come to on Sea View Terrace right next to Tesseract and almost directly above Bongo Bongo. Turning in the driveway is a little tricky since in angles back. We usually had to back up once to make it, not a big deal. This villa has the best deck space of any villa I’ve been to, plenty of space to be in the sun or the shade and excellent views. You will see the Pond Bay construction, but nothing was happening there except our last day there was some activity and noise coming from there, so maybe they are getting ready to start up again. The pool goes from a depth of about 4 feet to close to 6 feet. There are only 4 loungers which I found a bit odd since the villa can sleep 8, but there are plenty of regular chairs. The kitchen was fine, all appliances worked well. The refrigerator kept everything cool, but had a serious condensation problem on the inside. Food in the bottom drawers would get wet because that’s where the water would collect most. We quickly learned to wipe down the shelves and empty the bottom drawer every other day. All bedrooms had excellent A/C. The upstairs bedroom had a wall mount A/C unit and the three downstairs bedrooms had central A/C with individual controls and were a little on the loud side when first turned on. The only bedroom with any water view is the upstairs bedroom, but the only way you can see it is to have the windows opened because they are all frosted. This bedroom also does not have shades on the windows, so it gets bright rather early in the morning. Also, the bedroom upstairs does not technically have a private bathroom as it is outside the bedroom in a short hallway and everyone ends up using it instead of going back downstairs. The three bedrooms downstairs have TVs, but the upstairs one doesn’t. The bathrooms all had a hair dryer, but the wives were complaining that they all just blew out room temperature air. You will find three hard sided coolers (two medium sized and one larger) in the closet by the kitchen table. One odd thing, in order to open the back up so you can have a good cross breeze in the living room you had to exit out the front and unlock two big wooden barn like doors and slide them open. The steps going down to the three bedrooms or laundry room go in a slight “S” shape and get smaller as you go down, so you do have a pay attention when walking down. There are two safes in the villa, one in the closet outside of the bedroom upstairs and one in a downstairs bedroom. The safe upstairs is a turn combination style safe and I don’t think the villa manager knew the combination because she just said, “you really don’t want to use that one.” We did not have hot water for a couple days in the upstairs bathroom, kitchen, laundry, and two downstairs bedrooms. This house had an addition put on, so it has two hot water tanks. The one that stopped working has some strange timer on it that I believe was malfunctioning. If this happens to you call immediately or you will all be using the bedroom that has its bathroom on its own hot water tank. We were all taking cold showers until my friends that were in the bedroom with hot water told us they weren’t have hot water problems. We also were visited by a little white dog a couple days and a little skinny black cat almost every morning. We couldn’t help but give them a few treats to eat.
Any other questions just let me know. I would definitely stay at Blue Agave again.
I have some pictures and video of the villa if you want me to send them to you pm me your e-mail and I’ll send them to you.

We rented prior to Jimm and sadly didn't have the same experience.
It appears though from his report, most of the issues we had were villa management related and fixed prior to his stay. Owner was nice, but not on island and villa management was unresponsive.
Beautiful property though. View was great and luckily the Pond Bay developement wasn't active at the time.

Hoping for a USVI ticker in 2013!
