minor problem while on VIOL

Post by toes in the sand »

For the last week or so I have been experiencing a minor problem with the site. When I use the back button here it sends me back at least two pages. Usually it kicks me out to the last page I viewed prior to entering VIOL. I have experienced this with multiple computers and have only had it happen to me on VIOL. Anyone else?
I use IE v6.0

Does sound strange - I have not heard of this behavior before. Sounds like it is going back in the history and not just a page. IE 6 is the devil's browser - I do recommend almost anything else!

I use IE8 (I think) on my own 'puters at home but this particular problem is on work computers and I cannot update them.
Nothing I can't deal with.

I have IE7 at work and have had a similar problem for quite a long time (months). I launch the forum off a Symbaloo page, so there are never any "previously viewed" pages and when using the back button (or the backspace key) it often takes me back to the first forum topic I viewed (not even the immediately previous). Happens on Travel and Off Topic. The "tree" link to the respective board's index of topics always works correctly - it's just the back button that gives me trouble.

Running FireFox at home this never happens - for what that information is worth.
