glass recycling on island

I know that there is currently nbo glass recycling--however, i was wondering if Maho takes glass to recycle for their glass blowing programs? Doe anyone inow if they do (i suppose i can ask them when i get down there, but if any of you know plase let me know!)

There was a recycling effort getting underway when we were last there in Dec. We stopped and talked with the man at the Coral Bay dumpsters and thanked him for his work as we always felt so "dirty" on island because of the recycling habits we have at home went for naught on StJ.

It's my understanding that they only reuse the glass they produce. Years ago I asked if they accepted glass and they told me that they had trouble reusing the glass that they produced.

I was thinking the same thing on our last trip. Thought it would be a win win situation but maybe it's not doable (sp?).
